CORE CHOPPING

The core is chopped into 1 meter sections.

Each section remarked with the top and bottom depths.

Once the cores are chopped, they are capped using plastic barrel caps.

The cores can be packed in foam lined wooden boxes or can be stabilized prior to transportation.

CORE PLUGGING

Plugging  of the cores onsite is extremely important to get uninvaded samples of the formation for residual fluids determination.

The portable plugging machine is capable of taking 1.0 inch and 1.5 inch plug samples.

Overcoring possible incase of mud invaded cores.

Oil / Water can be used as the bit lubricant.

The samples can then be preserved either in wax or in fluid for analyses in the laboratory
